Abstract:

Horizontal and vertical wave-propagation velocities and natural frequencies of human bodies by shear wave (S-Wave) and compression wave (P-wave), respectively,  increase with the increase in the volume of air in lungs and in other parts of the bodies, e.g. the oxygen and nitrogen volumes in blood, the physiological dead space, the tidal volume (TV), the total amount of water in the body (TBW), and specific gravity of bones in human bodies; and with the decrease in the body weight and body height, the body mass index (BMI) and the body surface area (BSA). The vertical wave-propagation velocity and the vertical natural frequency of the human bodies by compression wave (P-wave) increase with the Poisson’s ratio of the human bodies.

Wave-propagation velocities and natural frequencies of human bodies also very slightly increase with the increase in the temperature of the body and the sodium of the human blood (HB). Human bodies have been logically considered as the mixtures of Bone-Air-Water (BAW) for the analyses.

For the same BMI, horizontal and vertical body natural frequencies for men are generally about 1.2 Hz (or 12.5%) and 1.8 Hz (or 7.3%) higher than those for women due to the higher values of the muscle weights, bone weights, lung volume, and total body water (TBW) for men, respectively.

Horizontal and vertical health-frequency factors (HFFs) have been introduced in order to emphasize and easily indicate the health level of each person in horizontal and vertical directions, respectively. The higher the positive health-frequency factor, the healthier and much happier person or stronger human antenna is.
